From college to careers, a variety of post–high school options for students will be on display at Vancouver Public Schools’ inaugural Future U Expo. The expo is designed to help students and families make a plan for their future.

When:

Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Financial aid and scholarship informational sessions start at 5:30 p.m.

Where:

Hudson’s Bay High School commons, 1601 E. McLoughlin Blvd.

What:

Meet with representatives and learn about public and private colleges and universities, training programs, trade schools and job and military opportunities

Plus: Attend informational sessions on applying for scholarships and financial aid and learn about the FAFSA changes

Who:

VPS students of all ages and their families. Activities will be available for young children. Spanish, Russian, Chuukese and American Sign Language interpretation will be available.

The free event is sponsored by Vancouver Public Schools and Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programming, or GEAR UP. This program helps prepare young people to be academically, socially and financially prepared to go to college.
