Anderson, Chinook, Felida, Hazel Dell, Lake Shore, Sacajawea and Salmon Creek elementary students recently participated in the annual Fire Safety Poster Contest. From among thousands of posters designed to promote fire-prevention awareness, the work of the following third- through fifth-graders received recognition:

Chinook, Felida and Hazel Dell also received monetary prizes from the Hazel Dell–Salmon Creek Business Association, which sponsors the contest with Fire District 6. The winners were honored at a Nov. 4 celebration at Fire District 6’s headquarters.
