Dear Lake Shore Families,

I hope you are staying well and making the most of this time at home.  My heart goes out to all of you that may have lost your job or have loved ones that are ill.  I appreciate all our health care workers, first responders, and other essential work staff for continuing to provide needed services to us all.  Thank You!

We are now into our first full week of distance learning and we know that this is an adjustment for teachers, students and parents.  Please complete as much of the distance learning activities as your family situation allows.  We recognize that many families may have situations that may inhibit the completion of all the weekly lessons.  Please be reassured that your student will still progress to the next grade.

Our Distance Learning Hub is a place where you can assess weekly lesson plans for all students and access other school resources such as; special education, ELL, math intervention, LAP reading, creative arts, digital learning support and our Family Resource Coordinator.  Bookmark this link so you can have easy access to our Hub.   https://sites.google.com/vansd.net/lakeshore-distance-learning/home

Our K-2 students received iPads this week for the first time.  If you are having trouble getting the iPad set-up or accessing content please visit the weLearn website using the link below. https://sites.google.com/vansd.net/parent-resources/home  It is also linked on our Hub page under Digital Learning Support.

Please give your child a big hug from all of us at Lake Shore.  We truly miss seeing our students and look forward to when we can hear their laughter in the halls and see their smiling faces.

Stay Well,

Starlet Stone

Principal
