Dear families,

Welcome to Lake Shore, home of the Seagulls! The dedicated teachers and staff at Lake Shore strive to provide an engaging learning environment that encourages each student to live up to their full potential. At Lake Shore we believe in creating a safe and positive school environment where student success is celebrated.

Our supportive community and active PTA provide many family friendly events like Family Movie Night, Cocoa and Caring and a school carnival. Students have the opportunity to participate in several special groups, sports and activities. Our school currently has a Green Team that works on special projects to improve our school grounds and the environment. In our library you can see students participating in Battle of the Books and Student Leadership. Students in fourth and fifth grade can participate in after school basketball, volleyball, and track. These activities help students explore a variety of interests.

Teachers participate in Professional Learning Communities in which they analyze student assessment data to design meaningful lessons that address student learning needs. In addition to teaching academic standards we also teach what it means to be a good citizen through our school-wide expectations for behavior and our focus on building character through classroom lessons and recognition.

I am thankful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated staff, supportive community and truly amazing students that make me smile every day.

Sincerely,

Anna Supplee
